The wonderful flautist Elissa Koppen and whimsical classical pianist Carl Rafferty will give you a half hour of etheral music in the superb acoustic of the ANU Drill Hall Gallery. You’ll enjoy serene music by Debussy, exquisite tunes by Bach and Vivaldi, and thrilling virtuosity in Hungarian Gypsy music.

Sydney flautist Elissa Koppen, has performed with the Australian Youth Orchestra as part of its 22nd International Tour. Key achievements of Elissa’s include playing with Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Estivo Summer School in Italy in 2015 as well as performing with Sydney Youth Orchestra. Hailing from Sydney’s Inner West, the musician has played flute and piccolo since the age of 7. By the age of 14 Elissa had developed permanent hearing loss.

This concert is presented as a collaboration between the Drill Hall Gallery and the opera producer and pianist Carl Rafferty.

The performance will start at 3pm sharp.
