Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery
A word from our director, Terence Maloon
Happiness is living in an expanding universe.
Be part of a creative community. The ANU Drill Hall Gallery gathers some of the best and brightest from the wider ANU community. Never before was a lifetime’s education offered on such easy and pleasurable terms!
It is a source of great pride that the Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery comprises some of the leading artists of the ACT, curators, art historians, collectors, and art lovers of every stripe. It has also attracted greats from the world of music and adventurous spirits from academia.
On the last Friday of every month, the regular gathering of Friends, with good food and drink, provides an opportunity for viewing Drill Hall Gallery Exhibitions in ideal circumstances and in great company.
For the delectation of our Friends, we invite to those gatherings remarkable guests to speak about their motivating passions. We regale our Friends with musical interludes, book launches, good conversation, lucky door prizes (Clonakilla Wines are sponsors) and other advantages including free attendance at lectures, book discounts, pop up exhibitions and travel opportunities.
We provide rich opportunities for ongoing education, such as illuminating encounters with artists and their works and access to conversation with curators, collectors, and writers. Trips to visit exhibitions locally and interstate, even overseas, are offered to the Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery.
